How to read this table

Four numbers describe every game and only one of them is usually advertised.

Base RTP is the return to player configured by whoever built the game. For third-party slots that is the studio, not the casino, and Duel has no ability to change it. For the in-house Originals it is set by Duel directly.

House edge is simply one hundred minus the base RTP. It is the more useful figure of the two because it makes differences legible: 96% and 98% look similar, while 4% and 2% are visibly one being double the other.

Rakeback is the share of that edge Duel hands back as each bet settles. It varies by category — 60% on blackjack, 50% on slots and most live tables, 20% against the sportsbook margin, and not applicable to the Originals because they have no edge to return.

Effective RTP is base return plus the rakeback credit. It is the number that describes what actually happens to your balance, and it is the one no operator prints in the game panel.

Where the real differences are

The Originals are in a category of their own

Crash, Dice, Plinko, Mines and Keno at 100% are not a rounding artefact or a promotional rate. The games are configured with no margin. Over a long enough run they are expected to return exactly what is staked, which is a proposition traditional casinos do not offer on anything at all.

Variance is entirely unchanged. A hundred per cent return in expectation says nothing about any individual session, and a run of losses on a zero-edge game is completely ordinary. What it removes is the systematic drain, not the swings.

Blackjack rewards knowing what you are doing

Game shows are entertainment, priced accordingly

Crazy Time, Monopoly Live and the rest sit around 96% base, which after rakeback becomes roughly 98%. That is respectable for the category — these games usually carry noticeably wider margins elsewhere — but they remain the most expensive way to spend an hour on the site outside double-zero roulette.

Sports is a different calculation entirely

A sportsbook has no fixed house edge. It has a margin baked into the odds, which varies by market, by event and by how confident the book is. The figures here are typical rather than guaranteed. The 20% rakeback against that margin is unusual to find at all — most operators exclude sports from loyalty schemes because the margins are already thin.

Volatility: the number nobody publishes

RTP describes how much a game returns. Volatility describes how it returns it, and for a player with a finite bankroll that second question is frequently the more important one.

A low-volatility slot pays small amounts often. Wins land every few spins, the balance drifts down slowly, and a session lasts a long time on a modest deposit. A high-volatility slot at exactly the same RTP may pay nothing across four hundred spins and then return two thousand times the stake. Identical expected return, entirely different experience, and a bankroll that comfortably survives the first will frequently be gone before the second ever pays.

Studios publish volatility inconsistently — sometimes a number out of five, sometimes a vague word, sometimes nothing at all. The practical rule: match volatility to bankroll, not to appetite. Two hundred dollars on a high-volatility slot at two dollars a spin is a hundred spins, which is well inside the range where a high-variance game routinely returns nothing at all. The same two hundred on a low-volatility title at fifty cents is four hundred spins with frequent small returns, and rakeback accrues across every one of them.

How this compares with other casinos

Two things make a direct comparison harder than it looks.

First, studios ship the same game at multiple RTP configurations. A slot advertised at 96.5% by one operator may be running at 94.2% at another — same title, same artwork, same maths engine, different setting chosen by the operator when they licensed it. Three practical readings.

Most casino reviews mention RTP once, quote the single most flattering figure the operator has, and move on. That is not carelessness — it is that assembling a table like this requires opening every game, reading the info panel, cross-checking the studio's own documentation, and then doing the rakeback arithmetic per category. It takes a day and it produces a page nobody clicks from a headline.

What RTP does not tell you

Return to player is a long-run average and the run is longer than most people assume. A 96% slot does not return 96 cents per dollar per session; it returns close to that across many millions of spins, and any individual session can land far from it in either direction. Two players on the same game the same evening can have completely different outcomes with nothing unusual having happened.

RTP also says nothing about volatility, which is the other half of the picture and often the more important half in practice. A low-volatility slot at 96% pays small amounts frequently. A high-volatility slot at the same 96% may return nothing for hundreds of spins and then pay a large multiple. Identical expected return, completely different experience, and a bankroll that survives one comfortably may not survive the other.
