Duel operates under Immortal Snail LLC, holding permit ALSI-202411026-FI1 from the Anjouan Gaming Authority. Both are stated in the site footer and both check out against the issuing register — which is worth confirming yourself rather than taking from us, since a licence number in a footer is the easiest thing on any casino site to fabricate.

The corporate structure is unremarkable for the sector: an offshore operating company in a jurisdiction chosen for its licensing regime rather than for any operational reason. That is standard and tells you very little on its own.

Ossi Ketola

The name that carries more information than the company does. Ketola founded CSGOEmpire and ran it for the better part of a decade before starting Duel.

That history matters because of what the skin-gambling market was like. In the mid-2010s a large number of Counter-Strike gambling sites operated with no oversight whatsoever, several were later shown to be rigged, and at least one was run by streamers promoting it without disclosing they owned it. It was, for a period, one of the least trustworthy corners of online gambling in existence.

How to check an operator yourself

The method generalises well beyond this casino, and it is worth having because ownership claims on affiliate sites are almost never sourced.

Start at the footer, not the about page. Licensing bodies require the operating company and permit number to appear there. An about page is marketing; a footer disclosure is a licence condition.

Check the number against the register, not the seal. A licence badge is an image and images can say anything. Every serious regulator publishes a searchable list of who holds what. If a permit number does not appear there, that is the end of the enquiry.

Read what the licence actually covers. Some permits cover the operator; some cover a specific brand; some have expired and the badge stayed up. The register entry says which.

Treat founder claims as unverified until sourced. "Founded by the team behind X" is the most repeated unsourced claim in this industry. Look for the person under their own name in coverage that predates the casino.
